Clean. Simple. Sleek. These are all words used to describe the modern style. Often the color palette, sharp angles, and industrial fixtures can make a modern space feel cool or closed off, but the modern bathroom featured in this mood board is anything but. This design does an excellent job of making the space seem warm and welcoming while staying within the parameters of the modern style.

There is an ample amount of lighting from various sources in this design. Large windows in the rear of the bathroom allow an abundance of natural light to fill the space. It bounces off the full-sized mirrors, making the room brighter and more welcoming. The sconces and recessed ceiling lights bring even more lighting to the area.

A unique feature in this design is the under-cabinet lighting on the dual floating vanities. The design of the vanities is key to the modern style, but the lighting underneath adds additional warmth to the space.

Aside from lighting, the contrasting colors and tile make for a welcoming design. Using dark and light neutrals for a color palette typically create a cooler contrast, but with beige and espresso neutrals, the space is warmer. Thin and wide tiles also add a welcoming contrast to the design.

Adding foliage to the space, as seen in this design, is a great way to create energy and warmth, in addition to improving air quality. Studies have shown that houseplants purify air, improve health, and sharpen focus.

In addition to lighting, contrast, and foliage, this design incorporates angular fixtures and polished chrome hardware to complete the modern oasis.
