Mood Board Monday #6: Valentine’s Inspired

Since we were still shoveling out on Monday from Blizzard ‘Nemo’, our Mood Board Monday was pushed back a few days! But now we’re back on track (and super sore from shoveling 3 feet of snow)! Now we have time to relax and get into the Valentine’s Day spirit – it kind of crept up on us this year, didn’t it? While putting together this PINspiring board of red themed kitchens and bathrooms for Valentine’s day, I was inspired by the drama and impact the color red has on each room it’s featured in. Instead of going out and buying gallons and gallons of red paint and redoing the kitchen cabinets on a whim, I thought this beautiful powder room was a perfect introduction to red with it’s tiled accent wall. This red wall is complimented by simple, white fixtures, allowing the room to still be relaxing, not reminiscent of a fast food restaurant. When using red, the mentality is simple – small space, big impact!
