First Monday of February and social media is all abuzz about newly emerging kitchen trends. Spring is on it’s way and this rising trend will help transform your kitchen into a fresh looking, stress-reducing environment. Blues are making their way into the kitchen – whether it be a light touch of blue, or a dark, bold navy blue. Blue can work in whatever style you crave for your kitchen, but in this week’s mood board, we’re “cooling down” with a traditional style that will go great with last week’s topic of cozy copper. So go daring with bold blue, or ease in with a pale, light blue. If you want to give navy blue a shot but you’re worried it won’t be ‘in’ forever, start with paint color instead of full blue cabinetry. A painted blue wall creates dramatic contrast with lighter cabinets, and if it feels too dark for you, you can always lighten up with a new paint color next season!
