It’s the second week of our Mood Board Monday. Last week, we ‘built’ a Whitehaus kitchen, easing into the trending vintage style. If you missed last week’s installment, catch up on it here. This week, we will build a look easing into the 2013 Pantone color of the year, emerald green.

The emerald green look is fantastically rich, but it’s very striking and quite dramatic if you’re not sure about it – or sure that you want to be ‘2013 trendy’ for years to come! This look is following the green trend, just knocked a few notches down. This look is much less bold than the emerald green, but that doesn’t mean it’s dull – not in the slightest. The best way to use green is to use it as an ’embellishment,’ because it looks great and stands out against neutrals, as seen in our mood board below. I found this space to be quite the statement in a very calming way – perfect for easing into the green trend with a gorgeous accent wall!

The base image’s source was created by San Francisco, CA based John Lum Architecture, Inc., and found through Houzz.com here.

Are you following the 2013 emerald green trend? Would you like to see a bolder mood board? Tell us!
