Mood Board Monday #15: Glamorous Gray

At the beginning of the month, we had a Mood Board that focused on the popularity of gray in the kitchen (if you missed out, read up on it here). Not only is gray a popular neutral for the kitchen, but it’s the top shade for bathrooms – right behind the ever-faithful white.

The first thing that comes to mind when thinking of gray is instantly “gloomy”, however, it’s really anything but. While perusing through images of gray bathrooms, it provides the space with a calming feel. No longer is gray associated simply with dreary days, serious attire and an overcast outlook; this simple neutral has shaken off its negative connotations. Not only has gray replaced beige as being a go-to neutral, but grays are now associated with style, sophistication and glamour. Not to mention, gray rooms look great with stark white fixtures accented throughout the room.

Today’s mood board features a smaller bathroom with relaxing gray hues. The use of soft grey tiles in different sizes add the needed texture and visual interest, making this bathroom appear larger. The stark white fixtures stand out against the muted neutral of the tiles, and the wood vanity warms up the space.
