Go bold with…white? It’s difficult to make a white on white room look aesthetically pleasing and also – interesting. At the beginning of the month, we discussed the popularity of white on white in the kitchen. Not only is it still the most popular neutral in the kitchen, it still holds the top spot in the bathroom as well. The NKBA noted so in their 2013 trends article:
“Whites and off – whites remain the top color schemes of both kitchens and bathrooms, used in 73% and 71%, respectively, [which is] an increase of 6 percentage points in both categories over the past year.”
The best part about an all white bathroom is not only that it can work for every style, there’s some sort of refreshing nature about it – cleanliness (who wouldn’t want to see that in a bathroom?), and timelessness. Crisp, clean, and dependable white. Some say white is a last resort, white is boring and uncreative…But white makes the perfect backdrop for small dashes of bold color. For a serene and soothing space, add other light neutrals, such as shades of beige, tan and gray.
The bathroom in today’s mood board incorporates soft light grays in the wall and floor tiles that set off the bold look of white in the room.
